2021 Year in Review

We wanted to kick off the new year by saying thank you. A thank you to our partners, retailers, and truly anyone who has supported us through a purchase, retweet, like, or mention. And most of all, a thank you to our team, none of this would’ve been made possible without you, your unwavering support and ingenious hard work are what keep us going.

Running a growing DTC brand is like riding a rollercoaster, equally thrilling yet stomach-churning and filled with unexpected twists and turns. And 2021 was the equivalent of riding Space Mountain during a hail storm.

A year of tremendous growth, 2021 was filled with massive wins, many learning experiences, new relationships, and new insights that will make us faster, stronger, and better in 2022.  As we head into the New Year, we want to take a moment to appreciate our accomplishments.

Press and Partnerships

We kicked off the year by receiving epic news that we would be hosting our first tournament that would air on the one and only ESPN! In May, hundreds of the world’s top CROSSNET players gathered to Chula Vista, California to compete for the grand prize pool of $5,000 to be crowned the CROSSNET Sand Series champions. The tournament was then aired on ESPN 2 for Ocho Day alongside of the coolest new up and coming sports.

It was a huge year of press for CROSSNET, we were seen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Talk, Let’s Make a Deal, and Good Morning America. We also locked in amazing partnerships with USA Volleyball and AVPA.

We also did some great branded collaborations with brands like Slunks, Lasso, and Black Wolf. We partnered with Sunday Scaries and spread good vibes all over the web and a very special partnership with the Jordan Porco Foundation ensuring we stress the importance of mental health and wellbeing.

Guatemala Trip:

In July, some of our team headed to Guatemala to participate in CROSSNET’s first company giveback. We donated over $20,000 in food, clothing, and sporting equipment. The most rewarding part of it all was meeting the amazing folks at FCT Guatemala and hearing all about the rewarding work they do for the local community.

New Products:

In October, we launched our very first kickstarter project and introduced CROSSNET for SOCCER. CROSSNET’s first non-volleyball product. CROSSNET for SOCCER takes all the rules of CROSSNET and applies them to soccer, making it the perfect tool for footskills and one of the most fun outdoor games for soccer enthusiasts.

Retail and Expansion

We are entering 2022 with the most pre-booked revenue in company history, while just finalizing our largest deal in company history. Our Canadian business has tripled year over year. We have just opened up our Australian 3PL & website which is already on track to do over $1,000,000 in annual revenue in 2022, profitably. We have also just locked in our first purchase order from a massive European distributor who we have full confidence will be getting us placement in Europe’s largest retail accounts. We have leaned out our infrastructure, reduced our spending, and enter 2022 with very realistic and attainable goals.
